Biofeedback - How do I get into the Zone?

Biofeedback is a process in which you learn to improve your health and performance by observing and changing signals that are measured on the body.
This technology has been researched and improved by NASA and has lateron made it into the world of top sports and top performance. Soccer teams like the famous AC Milan, Top golfers, Formula 1 racers, athletes and Presidents use this technology on a daily basis to keep them sharp and improve their performance.
During biofeedback you learn to summon a condition called 'flow' at will. Flow is a combination of deep relaxation and laser sharp focus. By using sensors on the body, on the earlobe or at the end of the finger tops 1 to 3 signals are measured on average, depending on the application. Heart Rithm Variability, Skin temperature and Skin Conductance are some of the elements that are measured.
Thes signals are being processed by a computer and calculated into a signal that gives you an indication how to get closer to a condition of 'flow'. Compared to other techniques, like mindfulness, meditation, where you have no objective controle - the trainer cannot come and look inside your head to tell you how you are doing - here you get a crystal clear insight in how you are doing related to your levels of relaxation and focus.
This technology also allows to measure your stress levels - short term and long term stress, adrenaline and cortisol - and gives you an indication how sharp your focus is and how important the influence of your internal sabotaging mechanisms, those unresolved emotions and that internal dialogue. Practicing biofeedback increases self confidence, makes you less vulnerable to outside criticism, makes you more relaxed and stronger. It is an exceptional way to deal with stress, it improves your health and mind-heart balance.
It is increasingly used in Management level and for those who want to get more out of themselves.
